Rivers crisis: Harassment has an expiration date

Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, says he has put behind him all the challenges being faced by his administration by some political actors in the state and is looking ahead.

The governor said in a statement last weekend that all bad things have a beginning and an end.

According to him, harassment has an expiration date, adding that when the time comes, it will expire.

“Intimidation has a time. When time passes, it’s over, it’s over. Even in the Bible, Pharaoh intimidated the children of Israel, or the Hebrews, right? But it came at a time: was the intimidation working again? It did not work.

“So everything bad that has a beginning has an end. That’s why I said don’t worry, we don’t have any problem. We have put that behind us, we are looking ahead,” he said.
