Officer hit by vehicle Saturday: Philadelphia Police

PHILADELPHIA – Police say a Philadelphia police officer was struck by a vehicle on Saturday.

The incident took place at 100 W. Lehigh Ave.


The officer was struck from behind by a civilian vehicle as he drove out of a gas station there, police said.

The officer was taken to Temple University Hospital and released.

Their injuries are unknown.

The civilian was not injured.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
