Carrie-Anne Moss is joining ‘FUBAR’ season 2 on Netflix

Arnold Schwarzenegger faces a new enemy in the second season of his Netflix series FUBAR.

Carrie Anne Moss (The Matrix series) has joined the action comedy as the former adversary – and former flame – of Schwarzenegger’s not-quite-retired CIA spy Luke Brunner. Production on FUBAR’The second season started in late April; no premiere date has been scheduled.

Moss plays Greta Nelso, a former East German agent who shares a passionate history with Luke. He is tasked with stopping her threat to destroy the world if she doesn’t destroy his life first.

FUBAR is Schwarzenegger’s first leading role in a TV series. The show premiered in May 2023 and was renewed for season two a few weeks later. The first season revolved around Luke, who was on the verge of retirement, and was drawn into a mission to rescue a fellow CIA officer, who turns out to be his daughter (Monica Barbaro). Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Barbara Eve Harris, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley and Jay Baruchel are all set to reprise their roles from season one.

Skydance Television produces the series, which hails from creator and showrunner Nick Santora (Reacher). He produces alongside Schwarzenegger, Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, Phil Abraham, Amy Pocha, Seth Cohen and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell.

Moss will next be seen on Disney+’s Star Wars series The acolytewhich premieres on June 4. In addition to the Matrix films, her credits include Jessica Jones, Memory and Paramount+’s Tell me a story. She is represented by Hodgson Management, Gersh, Viewpoint and Kleinberg Lopez.
