A recent rebrand of Adnams beers has freshened up familiar brews

The company said that while multiple factors continue to challenge the brewing, distilling and hospitality sectors, overall sales were up 11% year-on-year in the three months to March 31.

It added that falling inflation improved demand in both the hospitality and retail sectors, mitigating some of the company’s cost increases.

“The company also confirms that it continues to explore a range of options to finance its future growth plans with the support of its advisors, and has received an encouraging response to the process,” Adnams said in its first quarter update.

“The board’s preferred option remains to raise additional capital from another party and/or sell its own assets to return capital to the company, but no decision has yet been made.”

Adnams plans to file its full annual accounts for the period ending December 31, 2023, by the end of May, ahead of its scheduled annual meeting on June 27.
