First-time buyers account for more than a quarter of home sales


New homebuyers accounted for more than a quarter of transactions in April, MTI wrote, citing a report from listed real estate broker Duna House released on Monday.

First-time home buyers accounted for 28% of transactions in the capital and over a quarter in the rest of the country.

First-time buyers paid an average of HUF 47.2 million for their homes in the capital and HUF 30.8 million elsewhere during the month.

Home purchases for investment accounted for 32% of transactions in the capital. These buyers paid an average of HUF 62.5 million.
