The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2024 will begin on May 15, 2024.

The NTA will conduct the CUET UG 2024 in hybrid mode (CBT and pen and paper) for around 13.48 lakh candidates at various exam centers across 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India. About 250 universities worldwide will use the CUET 2024 score to shortlist candidates for admission to first-year courses.

There are 63 tests offered in the CUET UG 2024. The duration of the test is 45 minutes, excluding some subjects. Subjects such as Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science and IT Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics and General test have an exam duration of 60 minutes.

To ensure that candidates from all backgrounds have an equal opportunity to get the best out of themselves, the NTA has decided to conduct the tests chosen by the majority of candidates with pen and paper.

Important guidelines for exam days

Candidates are advised to reach the exam venue 60 minutes before the start of the exam. Candidates must carry proof of identity. Candidates are also allowed to carry a transparent water bottle.

It is important that candidates ensure that they do not carry smartwatches, mobile phones, headphones or any other electronic gadgets in the examination hall.

During the exam, candidates are not allowed to rise from their seats until instructions have been given by the invigilator. It is mandatory to maintain silence during the exam.

To appear for the above-mentioned exam, it is mandatory for a candidate to be in possession of a valid admit card. If a candidate does not have an admit card, he or she will not be allowed to appear for the exam in any case. The National Testing Agency has released the admit cards for the exam. Candidates who are eligible to appear for the said exam can download it from the official website of NTA at exams.nta.ac.in.

How to download the admit card?

Step 1: Go to the official website.

Step 2: Click on the provided admission ticket link.

Step 3: Enter your login details.

Step 4: Click ‘Send’.

Step 5: The admit card will appear on your screen.

Step 6: Go through the details.

Step 7: Save and download for future use.

Other information

This year, two new subjects namely Tourism and Fashion Studies have been added to the list of subjects offered in the CUET UG 2024. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of the NTA for the latest updates and detailed information related to the CUET UG 2024 exam.
