What has Regé-Jean Page been up to since Bridgerton on Netflix? Here are his most important recent and upcoming projects

Popverse’s top stories of the day

Acting is a fickle business. Unless you’re a top star with a proven box office draw, you probably don’t need to be picky about the projects you sign up for. So when Regé-Jean Page turned down a return to Netflix’s Bridgerton for season two and beyond, people were understandably confused. Walking away from the biggest show on Netflix was a big risk and many assumed Page would regret it over time.

Looking at Regé-Jean Page’s IMDB, there’s not much you can do to discredit that idea. Aside from his appearance in Netflix’s The Gray Man, the only notable work Page has done since leaving Bridgerton was his brief but memorable role as Xenk Yendar in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Certainly not small roles, but the work seems to have been scarce.

However, you shouldn’t write off Page just yet. Although he’s had a relatively quiet few years since leaving Bridgerton in 2020, there are plenty of projects in the pipeline that will soon put him back in the spotlight. He has been confirmed to star in a reboot of The Saint for Paramount and recently joined the cast of Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag alongside Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett. Not to mention the near-constant rumors that Regé-Jean Page is going to be the next James Bond when they finally get around to announcing that casting.

Is it possible that Regé-Jean Page regrets his decision to leave Bridgerton after the first season? Sure, but it would be unfair to say that this killed his career. He has two major movie roles lined up and there’s enough buzz around his name that we’ll probably be seeing his annoyingly handsome face for years to come.
