Visual artist residency available through Salmon Arm Arts Center

The Salmon Arm Arts Center invites applications for two arts awards and a visual artist residency.

The Blair Borden Memorial Arts Award and the Clara Anderson Music Award are for musicians who want to expand their skills and experience. Prizes are no less than $500 each and can be spent on lessons, workshops or instruments. Application forms are available at The application deadline is July 30, 2024.

The Marie Manson Virtual Artist Residency is a paid three-month collaboration with the Salmon Arm Arts Center curatorial team. The artist is working in their own studio on an installation for the Fantastic Fungi exhibition.

There are bi-weekly check-ins with Secw├ępemc knowledge sharer Louis Thomas and curator Tracey Kutschker to integrate land-based knowledge and curatorial guidance into their artworks.

The residency is ideal for a visual artist who is expanding his art practice and using new media. The application deadline is May 15, 2024 and the application form is available at
