The free Family Flicks movie series returns to Bayshore in 2024 with even more fun

Summer movie season is here – not just in the theaters, but also in Bayshore, where the free Family Flicks outdoor movie series is once again being held, complete with the addition of some bonus live entertainment in addition to the featured presentations.

Family Flicks runs all summer long on Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm in The Yard, Bayshore’s central green space, and shows a selection of some of the biggest films of recent years – including all-ages approved blockbusters like ‘The Super Mario Bros. . . Movie,” “Wonka,” “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” “Elemental” and “Kung Fu Panda 4.” The films will be shown on the giant screen overlooking The Yard, while food trucks and other vendors will be available in the evening surround the site.

It’s not just the titles that are new to this year’s lineup, but Family Flicks will also be hosting special off-screen entertainment an hour before each movie starts. The pre-show line-up includes live animals, bounce houses, fairytale princesses come to life and other family-friendly demonstrations and displays.
