Season 4 of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ officially has a premiere date

More murders lurk in the building. Hulu’s hit series, Only murders in the buildingreturns for season four on August 27.

In the upcoming season, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) will deal with the aftermath of the shocking events surrounding Charles’ stunt double and friend Sazz Pataki at the end of season three. “Wondering whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, our trio’s investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles, where a Hollywood studio is preparing a movie about the Only Murders podcast,” the season four description reads. “As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey, crossing the courtyard of their building to delve into the twisted lives of the residents of Arconia’s West Tower.”

According to Variety, Only murders is Hulu’s most-watched original comedy series to date, with the third season this year being the most-watched premiere day of any Hulu scripted original to date. Earlier this year, at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, Only murders had been in the running for best comedy series, which ultimately went to FX’s The bearand Short were nominated for best actor in a comedy series, but Jeremy Allen White accepted the award.
