Give NPP/NDC no cause for concern – Sammi Awuku to EC | Politics

Sammi Awuku, Director General of the National Lottery Authority and NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Akuapem North Constituency, has urged the Electoral Commission to rectify their challenges with the current limited registration procedure that ensures a transparent registration process and by extension free and fair elections on December 7.

Sammi Awuku, while commenting on the ongoing limited registration exercise by the Electoral Commission, sharply criticized the technical errors that characterized the exercise and violence in some registration centres.

There have been reports of violent clashes at some registration centers across the country, with some individuals brandishing machetes and guns in a life-threatening manner.

To take care of the problem Peace FMs Speaking on the Kokrokoo show, Sammi Awuku condemned the violence but charged the EC not to give political parties cause for concern as he stressed the importance of registration for the parties.

“I think that in these high-stakes elections, the Electoral Commission is not giving the NPP any reason to raise concerns about its conduct. Do not give NDC any reason to raise concerns,” he said.
