PNU promotes the higher education landscape

PHILIPPINE Normal University (PNU) held an institutional team building event from May 8 to 10, 2024 with the theme “Navigating University Human Resources towards Unification and Preparedness for New Challenges.”

PNU President Bert Tuga said the event at the Kabayan Beach Resort in San Juan, Batangas was part of PNU’s commitment to foster an interconnected and adaptable workplace that is ready to meet the challenges of the changing landscape of the civil service and higher education.

In his opening speech for the occasion, Tuga reflected on maintaining professionalism and excellence in the workplace. His anecdotes listed the means to improve efficiency and excellence in the workplace.

The annual three-day institutional team building for administrative staff and selected board members kicked off with a lecture on a new winning attitude for value improvement by Jayson Reyes of Batangas State University.

He shared with the PNU community how to reimagine and strengthen positive attitudes in the workplace. He also facilitated some reflection activities for the participants.



On the evening of the first day, the participants gathered for a solidarity evening and underwent various team activities.

The second day was dedicated to team building activities facilitated by the PNU Institute of Creative Expressions and Human Movement Education. The activity concluded with a coastal clean-up and a lecture on nurturing nature given by Engineer Mark Kevin Fungo of the Environmental Management Bureau of Region 4A (Calabarzon).

The Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration and the Human Resource Management and Development Office organized the institutional team building activity.
