Menards ranked #1 by J.D. Power for highest customer satisfaction in home improvement stores in 2024

Menards ranks highest in customer satisfaction among home improvement retailers according to the J.D. Power 2024 Home Improvement Retailer Satisfaction Study, released May 15, 2024. The study measures customer satisfaction among home improvement retailers by examining eight factors, including: Digital tools; People; Shop/facility; Products/supplies; Level of trust; Value given price paid; Returns Policy/Process; and additional services.

The 2024 U.S. Home Improvement Retailer Satisfaction Study was conducted from January 2024 to March 2024. The survey is based on responses from consumers who purchased home improvement-related products from a home improvement retailer in the past twelve months.

According to the J.D. Power survey, greater customer trust with home improvement retailers means a greater share of the wallet. Home improvement retailers who can guarantee a perfect solution
a customer’s trust score gets a higher share of purchases. In concrete terms, customers who have complete confidence in their home improvement store make 80% of their purchases there.
compared to 69% when trust in the retailer is good.
